What about those "Startup Programs"!
What is meant by "Startup Programs", are programs which are loaded and run when the system starts up.
- How to remove a Startup Program thats taking up resources
First, click on Start, the click Run then type msconfig and
click on Startup to see what programs are starting up. Find ONLY the
programs you can recognize and determine if you don't need them on
startup. The program will still be there when you need it. It just
won't be running in the background all the time. To remove the program
from startup, just click the little box to remove the check mark. DON'T
stop the antivirus program or the firewall program from starting up.
Now click ok and a message will popup asking if you want to restart the
computer now. Click no, but the next time you restart the computer, the
unchecked programs won't startup. If you need a program to startup,
repeat this procedure and check the required box.
